Klaus Ockert

Klaus Ockert, a native of South Africa, received his initial dental training in Germany where he graduated from school as a qualified Dental Technician. He worked and continued his training in Stuttgart, Germany under the tutelage of Master Dental Technician W. Fischer. After his final qualification in 1983 he returned to South Africa.

During his time in South Africa, Klaus always kept up to date with new technology and expanded his knowledge of Implantology, Ceramics and Aesthetic Dentistry by attending courses and seminars all over the world. He had the opportunity to train with Willie Geller from Switzerland and Gerald Ubassy from France.

In 1999 Klaus had the honor to give lectures at the International Dental Implant Congress on “Optimizing Dental Implant Treatment” and in 2002 he lectured on “Prosthodontics on Implants” at a congress in Australia. He was also a member of the South Africa Society of Dental Implantology and of SOTA, a study group consisting of 30 Dentists which included Ortho, Perio and Oral Surgeons.

Through his years of experience, he has developed a strong understanding of handling all aspects of Metal, Ceramic, Empress and Immediate loading of Implant work. He likes to be involved in the planning and discussion of cases with the Dentist.

In 2003, Klaus and his wife Ronel moved to the USA with their four children. He worked at a high end lab in Chesapeake, where he once again continued his education by completing his exam as a Certified Dental Technician for the USA. He attended several courses with the Dawson Academy, Pascal & Michel Magne, Dr. Misch, Dr. Peter Wohrle, Dr. Jay Levy, Dr. Brian LeSage and many more.

Klaus opened his own lab, Blue Crane Dental Lab and his goal remains to deliver high quality work and ensure customer satisfaction. He believes, in order to achieve this, you need to have a close relationship with the Dentist.
